The St John's Lutheran Church, Ebenezer is part of the Barossa North Lutheran Parish (with Pilgrim, Neukirch; Strait Gate, Light Pass; Holy Trinity, Nuriootpa; St John's, Dutton; Immanuel, Truro; St Thomas, Stockwell and Immanuel, Light Pass) in the SA-NT District of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The St John's Lutheran congregation began in January 1852, with services held in private homes until the first church building was dedicated on 13/2/1859. It was replaced by the current church building, which was opened and dedicated with its first worship service on 9/4/1905. The church celebrated its 150th anniversary in May 2002. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
