The Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Nuriootpa is part of the Barossa North Lutheran Parish (with Pilgrim, Neukirch; Strait Gate, Light Pass; St John's, Ebenezer; St John's, Dutton; Immanuel, Truro; St Thomas, Stockwell and Immanuel, Light Pass) in the SA-NT District of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The church began about 1958, including some members from St Paul's, Tanunda. Having garnered sufficient support the present church building was opened for worship on 17/7/1960.
