The former St John's Anglican Church, Auburn has been closed, and the church building de-consecrated on 3/12/2024 by Bishop Jeremy James. The property will now be sold. The church had been part of the Parish of Clare and the Diocese of Willochra. The church building was opened for worship on 21/11/1862, and consecrated on 19/4/1863. The hall was opened on 12/12/1908 by the Right Rev Dr Thomas, Bishop of Adelaide. The church celebrated 160 years of service to the community in 2022.
