The Riverton Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Wimala and the Uniting Church Synod of South Australia. The present church building in Moorhouse Terrace was opened on 27/9/1964. It replaced the former Bible Christian Church building (now St Matthew's Lutheran Church - see separate entry - 5412) which had been used for services from about 1900, after the amalgamation of the Bible Christian/Wesleyan/Primitive Methodist churches to form the Methodist Church. The 1870 Wesleyan building becoming the Sunday School Hall after 1900. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 14/2/2024.
