The Sts Peter & Paul Anglican Cathedral, Port Pirie is part of the Parish of Flinders Plain and the Diocese of Willochra. The church buiding was opened and dedicated on 22/2/1900, as the Sts Peter & Paul Anglican Church, replacing an earlier wooden structure opened on 9/7/1876. Prior to the erection of the first church building services had been held in the wine store. Although the Diocese had been established in 1915, the church was not consecrated as the Cathedral for the Diocese until 84 years later, on 29/6/1999. The Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Willochra. More historical information/photographs of the cathedral/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 19/1/2024
