Comments

The St Luke's Anglican Church, Adelaide is part of the Diocese of Adelaide. By the early 1850s, the growth of Adelaide had placed an urgent need for more churches to be erected.  St Luke's was one of the church's erected in response. The church building was consecrated on 14/2/1856, and was erected on land donated by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts. Over the years a number of alterations were made to the building, but unfortunately the interior was gutted by fire in April 1992. It has since been rebuilt. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 26/1/2022.
