The Bethel Lutheran Church, Bethel is a worship centre of the Light Lutheran Church (with St John's, Kapunda; Bethlehem, Allen's Creek; St Mark's, Freeling and Holy Trinity, Rosedale) in the SA-NT District of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The first Bethel church was built in 1857 by small family groups of Moravian Brethren who migrated from Saxony under the pastoral care of Pastor Schondorf. The current church building was erected in 1895 and a new pastor's residence built in 1908. The church became part of the Lutheran church on 23/2/2007. A cemetery is located nearby where all the graves face east. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 23/9/2026.
