The former Tarome Anglican Church closed about 1968. The building was sold and moved to Mt Alfrord to become a private residence.

The church building had originally been dismantled and transported from Milbong(?) to Tarome in 1913, where it was re-assembled to become the Tarome Anglican Church. Time and elements have taken their toll and a flat roof has replaced the original steeple roof which was stripped in a violent storm.
