A plaque in relation to the trees records: Trees planted at St Mary's - by - Glenister and Agnes Sheil - Semper Honos Nomenque - Tuum Laudesque Manebunt - 2 ~ 10 ~ 60.

An historical plaque records that the church bell was installed as a memorial to the fallen soldiers of World War I. Those of World War II were honoured by two stained-glass windows in the sanctuary.

Comments

The St Mary's Anglican Church, Mount Morgan was built in 1899 and replaced an earlier wood and corrigated-iron structure, located on the site of  the current church hall (erected in 1902). St Mary's was consecrated by the first Bishop of Rockhampton, Nathaniel Dawes on 5/10/1899. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
