The Sacred Heart Catholic Church building was constructed from a ready-to-erect 'package', purchased from James Campbell & Sons, who sent a carpenter from Brisbane to assist with its erection. The building cost about 170 pounds. It was officially opened in 1909 by Archbishop Duhig who also said the first Mass. No other details are known.
