The St James' Catholic Church, Malanda is part of the Parish of Malanda and the Diocese of Cairns. The church building was erected on land donated by Mr James English, who also contributed funds along with other members of the congregation. The building was designed by Bob Hassall, and built by Alby Halfpapp. The church building was opened and blessed by Bishop John Heaney on 23/1/1927. Earlier services had been conducted in the hall next to the town hotel. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 19/10/2023.
