A plaque records: This plaque was placed - 30th July, 1978. - By the Rev Douglas F Kirkup BA T Th - Secretary of Synod - To commemorate the coming together of peoples - of the former congregations of the Methodist - and St Andrew's Presbyterian Churches, Kingaroy - as the Uniting Church Kingaroy, on 22nd June, 1977.

The current Kingaroy Uniting Church building, formerly the Methodist Memorial Church building, was erected about 1947.

Photograph 3, the earlier "Kingaroy Methodist church on Alford Street, Kingaroy, Queensland, 1910. This simple gable roofed timber building was first situated on Markwell Street, Kingaroy. It was moved from that earlier site to Alford Street in 1909." No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
