Mass was first celebrated in Kingaroy in 1901, by Fr Phil Corrigan, in the home of Mr & Mrs Dan Carroll in Edward Street. Construction of St Mary's Church began in 1908, on land donated by Mr Dan Carroll. The church was officially opened on 15/4/1909 by Archbishop James Duhig.
