"Bayside Uniting Church was formed by the amalgamation, in 1990, of the congregations of the Uniting churches formerly situated in Ashton Street, Wynnum, Kingsley Terrace, Manly, and Preston Road, Manly West, and Yamboyna Street, Manly.  The first three of these had entered the Uniting Church from the Methodist tradition, and the fourth, from the Congregational.

These congregations included worshippers from Methodist churches at "The Springs" (Manly Road, Manly West), and Ambool Street, Lota, which had closed in previous years.

The Uniting church at Sibley Road, Lindum, remained as a worship centre within the new congregation, and included within its worshippers people who previously worshipped at a Uniting church in Hemmant-Tingalpa Road, Hemmant.  Both these churches came from the Methodist tradition.

The Presbyterian congregations within the Bayside area did not enter into union, however, some of their members have joined the Bayside congregation over the years.

The congregation met, for several months after the amalgamation in the newly completed Oriel Handley Hall at Moreton Bay College.  The church at Wondall Road was opened on November 16th, 1991." (Church Website - http://www.bayuca.org.au/who-we-are)
