The St Augustine's Catholic Church is part of the Parish of Coolangatta-Tugun and The Catholic Church in South East Queensland.  The church functions in conjunction with St Monica's Catholic Church, Tugun. The first Mass in the parish was said by Father Carlton, at the surf pavilion, at Greenmount in October 1924.

The church was opened in December 1926 by Archbishop Duhig. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 16/7/2018.
