Comments

The former Blanchview Methodist Church property is now privately owned. The area was originally known as  Monkey Waterholes, changing its name to Blanchview. A Mr & Mrs Blanchard were instrumental in the building of the first Methodist Church in the district. Date of contruction is not known, but a Primitive Methodist church service at Monkey Waterholes was advertised in the Darling Downs Gazette of 15/8/1896.  More historical information/photographs of the original church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 27/1/2017.
