The St Rita's Catholic Church, Babinda is part of the Parish of Babinda and the Diocese of Cairns. The first church building was opened on 15/7/1917 by Bishop Heavey. Unfortunately it was destroyed by a cyclone in March 1918. The present replacement building was opened on 9/7/1922 by Bishop Heavey. No other details are known.
