Stone records: To The Glory of God - This Parish Church of St Mark - Buderim - was Consecrated by - Peter Archbishop of Brisbane - St Mark's Day - 25 April 1999 - Richard N Gowty - Rector - Judy Clarke, Gordon Rose - Churchwardens. Plaque on lawn records: "St Mark's Church was built in 1917 by Mr Kuskopf, at a cost of 350 pounds. The Good Shepherd stained glass window was made by renowned artist, William Bustard, in 1941. It is now in the east wall of the new church. The bell in the tower is from an original tramway locomotive. Official opening and dedication of St Mark's Church of England, Buderim, 21 August 1917". A plaque records: St Mark's Church built 1917 - this extension added - Christmas 1966 - January 1967 - To the Glory of God - and in memory of - Canon J E Norman Osborn MCED. MA - and Gilbert Brierly Nonmus - Warden and Parish Councillor. |
