The Alice Springs Lutheran Church, is part of the Lutheran District of SA-NT and the Lutheran Church of Australia. The Alice Springs church has had long association with the Hermannsburg Mission (started about 1877) and the Finke River Mission through the long ministry service of the Rev Albrecht and his family. The present church building was dedicated on 7/5/1967 by the Rev Albrecht, who was instrumental in the building of the first church building which was opened on 18/12/1938. Prior to the erection of the church building, services were conducted under the Big Gum Tree on the property. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 12/9/2025.
