Foundation stone records: A.D.M.G. In memory of our fallen soldiers - This foundation stone - of the church of St Andrew - was laid on 31st October 1931 - by the Ven Joseph Pike - Archdeacon of Goulburn.

The church holds a gold-coloured altar cross, dedicated to the fallen from the First World War. The base of the cross bears the engraved inscription: To the Honour and Glory of God - In Commemoration of Peace - In 1919 and grateful rememberance of fallen soldiers sons of the Church - 1914 ~ 1919.

The St Andrew's Anglican Church, Tarago is part of the Mulwaree Anglican Mission District and the Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The present church building was consecrated on 27/8/1932 by Bishop Lewis Radford. It was build on land donated by Mr G E Reynolds, and replaced an earlier wooden church building, located at another site in the village, which had been destroyed by fire.
