The Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, Wollongong is in the Archdiocesan District of New South Wales and The Australian Capital Territory and part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. The church was founded in 1954 to meet the spiritual needs of the port-WWII Greek immigrants of the Illawarra. The cultural centre was opened next door to the church on 4/2/1979.
