The Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Taree is part of the Parish of Taree and Wingham (together with Our Lady of Fatima, Old Bar; St Therese's, Lansdowne; Our Lady of the Sea, Harrington; St Patrick's, Cundletown; and Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Wingham) and part of the Diocese of Maitland & Newcastle. The present church building was opened and blessed on 5/10/1930, by Bishop E Gleeson, and replaced an earlier structure erected in 1870-73. No other details are known.
