The former Mundoonan Uniting Church closed some time ago, and the property was sold in 2015. The church had been part of the Canberra Region Presbytery and the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The chapel was erected in 1862 for the Wesleyan Methodist Church, which became part of the Methodist Church at Union about 1900, and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. The building was erected on a site donated by Mr Robert Wiggins of Sprucemount. Mundoonan had been a Wesleyan preaching place for more than ten years before the erection of the present building, which replaced a slab structure. Services at the preaching place had been conducted by various ministers over the years from the surrounding towns, and also by Mr Thomas Brown who laid the foundation stone. A small cemetery is located beside the church. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 26/6/2025.
