The Merrilla Uniting Church, Parkesbourne (formerly a Wesleyan Chapel) is one of the church buildings used by the Parkesbourne and Merrilla Uniting congregation (formed on 1/4/2021 - previously part of the Goulburn Parish), which is now part of the Canberra Region Presbytery and the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The church building was erected on land donated by Mr J W Chesholm, (an Anglican) and opened on 26/12/1859, at which the sermon was preached by the Rev J Watsford. Prior to the erection of the building, services had been conducted in private homes. A cemetery adjoins the church. The other church building used by the congregation is the Parkesbourne Uniting Church - (see separate entry - 2580). More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 24/10/2022.
