A heritage plaque records: All Saints Anglican Church - A meeting was held on 4th May, 1916 for the purpose of forming a Church of England building committee at Springdale. Rev Dore Bryant was Chairman...- On 23rd July, 1916 A ladies committee was formed...- The Foundation Stone was laid on 5th November, 1917. Gifts amounted to 48-12-6 [pounds]... - Tenders were called and closed on 6th February, 1918... - The committee considered that even the lowest tender was too high to accept... - Mr Houston from Sydney was then engaged as working foreman for 6 [pounds] a week with overtime at ordinary time rates and train fare to and from Sydney. Mr Houston was to erect the church for less than 800 [pounds], additionally volunteers assisted with the build...- The opening and dedication of the church was held at 2.30pm on 17th July, 2018. Bishop Radford conducted the ceremony...- The church was consecrated by the Bishop of Goulburn, Bishop Radford on Friday, 3rd September, 1926...- Dedication Ceremony - During the service the Bishop dedicated the following memorials ~ the altar ~ in memory of Private Cyril Elliott, given by his parents and family: Paton and chalice ~ in memory of Corporal CH Harding, given by his sister; Altar cruets ~ in memory of Privatte Bertie Harvey, given by his parents; Prayer desk and seat ~ in memory of Corporal HC (?)
