The Penrith Uniting Church worships in The John Lees Christian Centre, which was opened and dedicated on 13/9/1975. It was named after John Lees, an ex-soldier and pioneer local layman who dedicated the latter part of his life to the service of God. The centre replaced the Henry Street church building which had been used from about 1860 until it was closed and sold about 1974. It had been built on land donated by John Tindall for the erection of a Wesleyan chapel. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregatioon are invited. Photographs uploaded 29/12/2020.
