The St George's Anglican Church, Parkes was commenced in 1926, but because of financial constraints was not completed until 1956, when the War Memorial West End was added. The first Anglican church building in the district was a wooden structure erected about 1875, but was burned down in 1876. A parish hall was built about 1889, which was used as a church until St George's was built in 1926/7. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 12/4/2020.
