The current (second) St Judes Anglican Church, Randwick, was opened on 28/6/1865, delayed due to a court case on use of funds.
(Sydney Morning Herald - 21 July 1865) "St Jude's Church at Randwick, was licensed by the Bishop of Sydney, and opened for Divine service on the 28th ultimo. The church has been built in the early English style, and affords accommodation for 400 persons."
The church was designed by Edmund Blacket along the lines of St John's Church at Randwick, Gloucestershire. It was modified significantly by H. M. Robinson, whose alterations were carried out in 1889
The St Judes cemetery behind the church was opened in 1853, before the church was built
The church celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2015.
More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/1/2021.
