The Albury Presbyterian Church, Lavington is part of the Presbytery of Southern Rivers and the Presbyterian Church in the State of New South Wales. The church began in 1947 when the Rev John Armour conducted the first service in the Buckingham St, Youth Hall, although services had been held in Lavington since 1937. The first Manse-Hall was opened in Buckingham Street on 15/11/1952. However, as the congregation grew a new building was erected in Wewak Street, and opened on 31/7/1960, shortly after the group had been granted Home Mission Station status on 13/7/1960. Up until this time the congregation had been an outreach of St David's. By 1970 the Wewak Street building was inadequate for the needs of the growing congregation, and the present church building was opened on 9/11/1974. The church celebrated its jubilee on 16/11/1997. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/1/2026.
