Soul Revival Church

The Soul Revival Church, Miranda, formerly the Miranda Congregational Church, has been ministering in the area for 130 years and has recently decided to join the Soul Revival Church. A Sydney Anglican Church spread in multiple locations around the city. The Miranda Congregation church was formally constituted on 27/2/1895, with eleven members and originally met in the home of a Mr Stevens. Its first minister was appointed in 1897, a Rev Robert Williams, who had oversight of other churches in the district¹.  The church had some early financial difficulties and it was some time before a local building was leased (Cnr Malvern Rd & Vandella Rd), which had been erected for the Salvation Army, but little used. This was replaced in 1918 by a new building. No details are known about the current church building, also erected for the Congregational Church, which is now used by Soul Revival.
