Comments

The first, Our Lady of the Nativity Catholic Church, building was a small wooden structure blessed and opened in 1903, by Cardinal Moran. The current building was erected on land donated by Richard Meagher, in memory of his wife Alice. It was opened and blessed on the 7/4/1929 by Archbishop Kelly. The building was damaged by fire on 15/5/2015, requiring mass to be held in the school. The first service in the repaired building was held on Christmas Day 2015. The church celebrated the 90th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone and opening in 2018 and 2019 respectively. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 3/11/2019.
