The former St Clement's Catholic Church, Mount Kembla closed about 1981, and the property was then sold (1982). The church had been in the Parish of Mount Kembla in the Diocese of Wollongong. The former church building was erected in 1893, and opened and dedicated on 9/1/1984 by Bishop Higgins. The land for the church building was donated by the Beatson Family, with the funding of the weatherboard structure largely provided by public subscription.
