Comments

The Greenethorpe Uniting Church is no longer listed in the Uniting Church register, the closest church being recorded as at Young. It is not clear if it is still functioning. Early Methodist services in the district began about 1906 in private homes, until the first church building was opened on 18/11/1908, by the Rev W H Jones of Young. However, with an increasing congregation, a larger building was needed and the present one was erected/opened in 1928. The church celebrated its golden jubilee in 1958. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/6/2021.
