The foundation stone for the present church building was laid on 25/7/1882 by Mrs J G Morris. The text on the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited.

A tablet inside the church records: For ever with the Lord - Robert and Margaret Alcorn - Godly Pioneers of Kangaloon, Methodism - and their son James - who was a faithful officer of this church - for 56 years - Died Nov 21st 1918. Aged 76 years - Also son Private J C Alcorn - Died of wounds in France. Aug. 22nd 1918 - Aged 26 years - and daughter Eva - Died March 6th 1919. Aged 20 years.

A tablet in the porch records: 1862 ~ 1962 - To the Glory of God - In commemoration of the first - Methodist service held in - Kangaloon, conducted by the Rev J G Turner - of Kiama - 17th August 1862 - 4-11-1962

The former Kangaloon Uniting Church held its final worship service on 15/5/2016, and the property has now been sold. The first Methodist service in the district was held in the home of Mr Gardiner of Kangaloon on 17/8/1862, and conducted by the Rev J G Turner from Kiama.The first church building was opened on 7/5/1865, and had been erected on land donated by Henry Kennedy. It was replaced by the present church building which was opened about 1883, the exact date is not held in any church records.  A small cemetery is located alongside the building. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 28/2/2021.
