The foundation stone of the new church was blessed and laid by Cardinal Gilroy, Archbishop of Sydney, on 23 May, 1965. The text of the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited.

A stone records: Hoy Trinity War Memorial Church - dedicated to the memory of members - of the three services who gave - their lives in World Wars 1 and 2 - was solemnly blessed and opened by - The Most Reverend J P Carroll DD - Auxiliary Bishop of His Eminence - Cardinal Gilroy ~ 28th November 1965.

The present Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Granville is the fourth church building on this site. It was opened and blessed by the Most Rev J P Carroll on 28/11/1965. Earlier church buildings were (1) erected about 1881, (2) opened April 1907 (destroyed by fire, May 1908), (3) rebuilt and opened in October 1908. The latter is now known as the MacKillop Hall.
