The former St Mark's Anglican Church, Greendale ceased functioning as a worship centre about 1929, and the property was sold. The church had been part of the Diocese of Australia. The church building was consecrated by the Bishop of Australia, the Rt Rev William Broughton on 12/11/1849. On 4/1/1903 the building was unroofed by a cyclone and the belfry destroyed. A cemetery was located near the church building but the headstones have been levelled and the area turned into lawn.
