The former Dalton Uniting Church no longer appears to hold regular services at this location. The church had been part of the Canberra Region Presbytery in the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The first Dalton (formerly known as Wesey Vale) Unting Church building, a slab structure, was opened in 1854, on land donated by Stephen Robinson. By 1857 it had become too small, and the present church building was erected and opened on 29/8/1860, by the Chairman of the District, the Rev Benjamin Chapman1. The original church building was erected by the Wesleyan Methodist Church, which became part of the Methodist Church at Union in 1902, and part of the Uniting Church in 1977. The church celebrated its 125th anniversary on 1/9/1985. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 29/3/2021 & 10/3/2026.
