Hall foundation stone records: To the Glory of God - in memory of those who - made the supreme sacrifice - and to promote the work of youth - this stone was unveiled 8.8.54 - by Rev A C Manefield BA. A plaque records: This Notice Board was - erected in 1970 by The Families - in Loving Memory of - Wesley T Poole - & - Kenneth J Mills. The foundation stone for the first Wesleyan church building on the site was laid on 10/10/1883 by J M Sanger, Esq. The text on the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited. Mr Sanger was presented with a silver trowel which recorded: Presented to - J M Sanger, Esq. - On the occasion of His - Laying - The Foundation Stone - of the - Wesleyan Church, - Corowa, - NSW - Oct. 10th, 1883. |
