St Agnes of the Springs Catholic Church- Former

The former St Agnes of the Springs Catholic Church, Dripstone closed and was deconsecrated in the 1960s. The original church building was opened in August 1879, and was from 1880 to 1882 also used as a school. Prior to the opening of the church building, Mass was celebrated in local private homes. In 1885 the Sisters of St Joseph began a convent school in the building, but it closed many years ago. The church building was lengthened and a sacristy and porch added in 1909. Further renovations were carried out in 1930. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 6/7/2026.
