The Casino Uniting Church is part of the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The first Methodist service in Casino was held on 19/9/1880, conducted by a visiting minister, the Rev W G Stephenson. Several other preachers visited over the years until a church building was opened on 18/11/1888, by the Rev J H Lewin of Ballina. Due to a number of local and national events after the church building was opened, the church experienced severe financial difficulties for many years. This church property was sold in 1945, with the money to be applied to the purchase of land and the building of another church. In 1957 the present site was purchased with the current church building being erected and opened for the Methodist Church on 18/8/1962, by the Rev N Lickiss, President of the Methodist Conference of NSW. The church became part of the Uniting Church in 1977. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 31/12/2025.
