The Grace Christian Church - Padstow is an affiliated Chinese congregation of the Grace Christian Church - Panania, an English congregation - which is an amalgamation of the congregations from the Padstow and Panania Uniting Churches, and meets in the former Panania property. (see separate entry - Grace Christian Church - Panania).

The predecessor Padstow Methodist/Uniting Church began with a service in the Progress Hall on 30/11/1947. The services were commenced by the Rev Wilbur Chaseling, then Supertendent of the Bankstown Circuit. The present church site was acquired about 1948, with early meetings held in tents, until a military hut was acquired and erected by voluntary labour. The first service in the military hut was a Sunday School anniversary, held in November 1949. The first church building was opened on 7/10/1950, with the present church hall erected about 1966. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/12/2020.
