Earlier Congregational Church foundations stones were laid: [first site] 18/10/1879 by Jonathan Stephen Perry (opened 18/2/1880) and [this site] 6/5/1905 by Josiah Mullens Esq (opened 14/10/1905).

No other details are known about the current Mosman Uniting Church. The former Mosman Congregational Church had its beginnings in the home of Mr B H Harnett on 16/9/1877 and he also gave the site for the first church building at the corner of Military Road and Avenue Road, Mosman.
