The first Serbian Orthodox services in Australia, were held in the Chapter House of St Andrew's Anglican Cathedral, Sydney, about 1950. Later, services were held in St Paul's Anglican Church, Redfern where a church building committee was formed on 28/1/1951. After much planning, financial support and volunteer labour by the Serbian community, the church building was consecrated by Fr Milenko on 18/4/1954.
