The former St Columba Presbyterian Church "began its first service in the Oddfellows Hall in Queen Street on 12th February 1888.
The Rev John Walker had been called and was inducted as the first Minister ...on 31st of July 1888. The first portion of the building was opened on 8th March 1890. A second portion in 1894 and the front and upstairs section in 1960...St Columba closed as a worship centre and combined with Double Bay in 1998.'
