The first St Patrick's Catholic Church, Blacktown was opened and blessed on 18/6/1892. It was built in Patrick Street, on land donated by Thomas Patrick Fitzsimmons, together with the bricks and other funds. After the church was closed the land was sold in 1980, and the headstones, including that of T P Fitzsimmims moved to the new church site in Allawah Street.1 The current church building was opened and blessed on 7/12/1986. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 17/7/2020.
