The former St Matthew's Anglican Church, Mount Russell closed (1999?). The church building was repaired and refurbished and re-opened about 2001, for the Anglican Catholic Church in Australia, which had been established about 1987. The church building was rededicated to Our Lady of Walsingham, but closed about 2017.The building was sold in May 2025. The original St Matthews was opened on 16/8/1925. It had been part of the Parish of Inverell and the Diocese of Armidale. More historical information/photographs of the former church(es)/congregation(s) are invited.
