The Balmattum Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbytery of North East Victoria and the Presbyterian Church of Victoria. It functions in conjunction with the Benalla Presbyterian Church. Early Presbyterian services were held in the local school until a wooden building was opened on 6/10/1878. The present church building was opened in 1938.
