St Athansius Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church

The St Athanasius Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Canberra (Lyons) is Under The Holy Apostolic See of Antioch and All the East. The church held its inaugural Holy Qurbana (Mass) on 6/12/2008. Services on that day were held at St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, Kaleen led by Bishop His Grace Mor Irenious Paulose, assisted by Rev Fr George Vayaliparambil and Rev Fr Geevarghese Kuzhiyelli. Regular monthly Qurbana commenced in July 2009. The parish was formally founded in Canberra on 25/1/2013. The church meets in the Lyons Church of Christ facility.
