The Gungahlin Anglican Church - Grace Chapel is in the Gungahlin Parish and part of the Diocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The parish began as the Special District of Gungahlin, and in 1995 regular services were held in the Ngunnawal Neighbourhood Centre. The plan was to establish one parish and plant new congregations within it, beginning with house churches. The first house church began in 1992. The establishment of the Burgmann Anglican School, a co-located school/church was also a feature of the future plans, and opened in Feburary 1999. The first regular service in the school being led by the Rev Malcolm Richards. From this time on various ministries were introduced. The co-located property continued to be developed and on 2/4/2005 the Grace Chapel was dedicated by Bishop George Browning. As other suburbs developed/grew a second co-located campus was developed, and church programs expanded. The growth in the district continues with church plans being deveolped in concert. The parish celebrated its twenty fifth anniversary in 2018. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 7/11/2025.
