The St Monica's Catholic Church, Evatt is part of the North Belconnen/Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (with St Michael's, Kaleen) and part of the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn. The St Monica's parish was opened in 1974 with the first Mass celebrated in the Evatt Primary School Library on 4/11/1974, by Fr Adrian Cook. The present parish was created in 2018 from an amalgamation of the two former parishes of St Monica's, 1974 and St Michael's, 1976. The St Monica's school was established in 1977, and St Monica's church opened and consecrated on 5/12/1987 by Archbishop Carroll.
